Alex Alexandru didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iurie Dragomiroiu went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Iurie Dragomiroiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Alex Alexandru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, one of FC BOTOSANI:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC BOTOSANI. In the 37th minute, Dinu Tache got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dinu Tache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Iurie Dragomiroiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Sebastian Donciu fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC BOTOSANI's protests and gave Sebastian Donciu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th minute, one of FC BOTOSANI:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC BOTOSANI. After 47 minutes FC BOTOSANI's goalkeeper Alex Alexandru managed, with a little bit of luck, save Virgil Alb's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot. After 47 minutes of play, Ciubuci CS's Virgil Alb made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alex Alexandru was left in no man's land by his defense there! Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Maxim Tapalagă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Iustin Octavian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ciubuci CS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dinu Tache was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maxim Tapalagă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iustin Octavian having to interfere. Maxim Tapalagă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iustin Octavian acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 74th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Bogdan Ţirpe. FC BOTOSANI's Maxim Tapalagă got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Ciubuci CS defense, Maxim Tapalagă kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Iustin Octavian. The Ciubuci CS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iustin Octavian should have stopped the shot. Maxim Tapalagă succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-3 in the 85th playminute. In the 88th match minute, FC BOTOSANI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marian Braniște to maneuver through the defense.
