A nice corner shot did that Manuel Gâdea got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ivan Hodorog quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Christian Reggianini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Stelian Luncanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 13 played minutes F.C. Renasterea got a freekick which was hit by Basarab Vermeşan. Gică Craioveanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 23rd minute Christian Reggianini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stelian Luncanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gică Craioveanu scored 0-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stelian Luncanu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Stelian Luncanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gică Craioveanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christian Reggianini got free with Stelian Luncanu in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 54th match minute, Legiunea Olteniei was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrei Iorgulescu to maneuver through the defense. Adrian Hâncu might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stelian Luncanu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stelian Luncanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Legiunea Olteniei. Basarab Vermeşan's late challenge caught a Legiunea Olteniei's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Basarab Vermeşan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 63rd match minute, F.C. Renasterea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basarab Vermeşan to maneuver through the defense. Stelian Luncanu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Christian Reggianini. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ivan Hodorog showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 78th minute, Andrei Iorgulescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stelian Luncanu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Christian Reggianini received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Stelian Luncanu came out and tried to block the shot, but Christian Reggianini slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 81st minute. Gică Craioveanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 88 played minutes Gică Craioveanu rounded F.C. Renasterea's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-4. Legiunea Olteniei were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
