Sabin Tătaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferdinand Marinescu in the 14th minute of the match. Calapodesti CS's Nae Neculce managed to work through Arkos AC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Nae Neculce dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nae Neculce in the 19th minute of play forced Arkos AC's goalkeeper Sabin Tătaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Albert Omescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valeriu Spirache charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valeriu Spirache the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 23 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Calapodesti CS! Fabian Enoaia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ivan Agusoaei in the 31st minute. If Ferdinand Marinescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th minute of the match Ivan Bitanu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sabin Tătaru skillfully saved the ball. Sabin Tătaru stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nae Neculce's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. In the 43rd minute Albert Omescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Enoaia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute, Iacob Gheban hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ferdinand Marinescu was the one to do the kick off. When Ferdinand Marinescu came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Calapodesti CS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ferdinand Marinescu couldn't finish the play. Dacian Lobonț charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dacian Lobonț the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Arkos AC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Dacian Lobonț hit a great ball. Fabian Enoaia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Agusoaei in the 67th minute of play. If Ferdinand Marinescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sabin Tătaru made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Nae Neculce sent off a good shot on target. Ferdinand Marinescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute, Calapodesti CS's Viorel Ţăranu seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Viorel Ţăranu the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Calapodesti CS protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Viorel Ţăranu had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 87th match minute, Calapodesti CS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Viorel Ţăranu to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute, Albert Omescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Arkos AC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. After having played for 96 minutes, Nae Neculce managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Calapodesti CS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nae Neculce was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
