After a rather tough play, Osko's Gigi Baldovin got a free kick in the 5th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 8 minutes, Toader Bădiliță successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. George Hagi kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Sorin Saşca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Toader Bădiliță showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sorin Saşca in the 14th minute of the match. Toader Bădiliță was out of position in the 19 minute of play, and Sorin Saşca capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sorin Saşca really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. In the 25th minute, Liviu Mitruț left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vieru UFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Toader Bădiliță made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Liviu Mitruț sent off a good shot on target. If Corneliu Nanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toader Bădiliță showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisc Iorgovan in the 35th minute of the match. Gigi Baldovin was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 38 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 37th minute of the game. One of Osko:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vieru UFC:s goal. Toader Bădiliță had in the 40thth minute some difficulties stopping Valeriu Caranfil's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. A well-hit corner resulted in Sorin Saşca heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. If Sorin Saşca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sorin Saşca stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Toader Bădiliță made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liviu Mitruț in the 56th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sorin Saşca in the 65th minute of play forced Osko's goalkeeper Toader Bădiliță to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes into the game, Vieru UFC's Sorin Saşca nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Toader Bădiliță made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Corneliu Nanu hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute Liviu Mitruț shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toader Bădiliță saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Osko's goal looked a bit too open when Sorin Saşca came free, but Toader Bădiliță reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sorin Saşca in the 78th minute of play forced Osko's goalkeeper Toader Bădiliță to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Toader Bădiliță made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liviu Mitruț in the 82nd minute of play. When Ferdinand Boteanu came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Osko fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ferdinand Boteanu couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Osko's zone, Sorin Saşca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Toader Bădiliță came out of the goal and Sorin Saşca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vieru UFC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
