With a left leg Radu Potocianu saved Berindul from getting behind. 9 minutes into the match, Sebastian Muraru notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of U CLUJ 2007's Avram Agudin. Avram Agudin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Radu Potocianu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corneliu Pora in the 12th minute of the match. Radu Potocianu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Corneliu Pora, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Corneliu Pora received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Radu Potocianu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind U CLUJ 2007's goalkeeper Avram Agudin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Avram Agudin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Tarchilă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 31 played minutes Berindul got a freekick which was hit by Olimpiu Cicortaș. 32 minutes into the match, U CLUJ 2007's Mugurel Tarchilă broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Panait Vişoianu charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Panait Vişoianu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Panait Vişoianu kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Berindul's zone, Mugurel Tarchilă stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Radu Potocianu came out of the goal and Mugurel Tarchilă tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 40th minute, Corneliu Pora had to leave the field with a concussion. 40 minutes into the game, Ştefan Oprea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Berindul's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U CLUJ 2007 the free kick. After 40 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Berindul!

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sebastian Muraru stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, U CLUJ 2007 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Radu Spelbu to maneuver through the defense. In the 54th minute, Sebastian Muraru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dacian Dumitrescu's late challenge caught a Berindul's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dacian Dumitrescu helped the player get up and apologised. Dacian Dumitrescu kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. A collision led to Berindul getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Eugen Grigoroiu hit a great ball. In the 69th minute Dacian Dumitrescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radu Potocianu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Sebastian Muraru fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Avram Agudin, passed just outside the right post. After a rather tough play, U CLUJ 2007's Sever Ivașcu got a free kick in the 72nd minute. A long shot from Eugen Grigoroiu in the 74th minute of play was well struck, but Avram Agudin made a really good save at the right post. Avram Agudin came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Berindul's Horaţiu Hârciog. But to his dismay, Horaţiu Hârciog quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. U CLUJ 2007's Ştefan Novac got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Avram Agudin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sebastian Muraru's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. 95 minutes into the match, U CLUJ 2007's goalkeeper Avram Agudin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Horaţiu Hârciog. Horaţiu Hârciog sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
