Spectators: 1225 (Terracing: 800, Seating: 400, VIP seats: 25) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Iustin Iureș started the match with the kick off. In the 6th minute Marcel Văidianu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihai Văcărescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manuel Talianu hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. With 11 minutes on the clock, Horaţiu Boc commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 10 minutes into the game, one of FC Petrolul Ploiesti:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Dacian Bratiloveanu took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ionică Bulgar to make any attempt to save it. Ionică Bulgar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Costin Chira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute, Manuel Talianu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alex Tatulici kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Iustin Iureș fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihai Văcărescu having to interfere. FC Petrolul Ploiesti's Ionică Bulgar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dacian Bratiloveanu in the 25th minute of play. In the 32nd minute Ion Isărescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ionică Bulgar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Basarab Tremurici hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. 35 minutes into the match, FC Petrolul Ploiesti's goal looked a bit too open when Costin Chira came free, but Ionică Bulgar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Costin Chira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ionică Bulgar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dacian Bratiloveanu in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 54th minute, Costin Chira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The The Legacy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. In the 58th minute, Costin Chira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ionică Bulgar was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. After a rather tough play, FC Petrolul Ploiesti's Ilie Encescu got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Ionică Bulgar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ion Isărescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. The Legacy's Mihai Văcărescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save The Legacy from getting a goal against them. Ion Isărescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, FC Petrolul Ploiesti's Ilie Encescu got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 80th match minute, The Legacy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octavian Pivniceru to maneuver through the defense. Manuel Talianu's late challenge caught a FC Petrolul Ploiesti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manuel Talianu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 86th minute, Manuel Talianu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Călin Isbășoiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Legacy's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
