In the 6th match minute, Otopeni AS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcu Savin to maneuver through the defense. Aron Bulcă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iurie Blăjan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Otopeni AS's Sever Istrătescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Otopeni AS from getting a goal against them. Mugur Şelaru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Sever Istrătescu made a huge save. 25 minutes into the match, Otopeni AS's goal looked a bit too open when Tiberiu Cluceru came free, but Sever Istrătescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Momaiu getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Valeriu Asachi hit a great ball. If Mugur Şelaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute, Adam Dominte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adam Dominte kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moise Varga in the 40th minute of play forced Momaiu's goalkeeper Aron Bulcă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aron Bulcă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moise Varga in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tiberiu Cluceru was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute of the match, Iurie Blăjan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Aron Bulcă saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Tiberiu Cluceru's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sever Istrătescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Sever Istrătescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mugur Şelaru in the 59th minute of play. Cazimir Codin hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Sever Istrătescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiberiu Cluceru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Momaiu getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Adam Dominte hit a great ball. Aron Bulcă was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Matei Tudor. Cazimir Codin kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Momaiu's Gigi Irimia couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 79th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Otopeni AS. In the 81st match minute, Otopeni AS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcu Savin to maneuver through the defense. When Moise Varga came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Otopeni AS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moise Varga couldn't finish the play. Sever Istrătescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiberiu Cluceru, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
