Costel Stănoiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicodim Rădoi came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Uiheiu's Edgar Neagoe. But to his dismay, Edgar Neagoe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Narcis Logofătus short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Cornel Hrandabur to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Costel Stănoiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute, Narcis Logofătu made a precise shot to the right of Cornel Hrandabur. Uiheiu's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isac Ciolacu in the 19th minute of play forced Comuna Botosani's goalkeeper Nicodim Rădoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Uiheiu getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Eugen Săvoiu hit a great ball. Narcis Logofătu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Cornel Hrandabur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicodim Rădoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isac Ciolacu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Costel Stănoiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Cornel Hrandabur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 43 minutes into the game, Edgar Neagoe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Nicodim Rădoi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nicodim Rădoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Neagoe, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After some careless play in the Comuna Botosani defense, Isac Ciolacu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nicodim Rădoi. The Comuna Botosani fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nicodim Rădoi should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgar Neagoe was the one to do the kick off. Cornel Hrandabur stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Costel Stănoiu's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. After 60 played minutes Uiheiu got a freekick which was hit by Ciprian Bungescu. After recieving a nice pass, Comuna Botosani's Dinu Bobailă tried to score from far away in the 61st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 64th minute there was a penalty for Comuna Botosani. Dinu Bobailă stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cornel Hrandabur. 2-3. Uiheiu's Cornel Hrandabur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Costel Stănoiu in the 68th minute of play. After 70 played minutes Uiheiu got a freekick which was hit by Eugen Săvoiu. The supporters of Comuna Botosani booed when Uiheiu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isac Ciolacu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 81st minute Edgar Neagoe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicodim Rădoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Ciprian Bungescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cornel Hrandabur came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Comuna Botosani's Costel Stănoiu. But to his dismay, Costel Stănoiu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Narcis Logofătu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eric Feraru kicked well hit freekick during the 99th minute of the match. Uiheiu's Ştefan Teaşcă couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 100th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Comuna Botosani. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
