Spectators: 6705 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1705, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ovidiu Trif made the kick off which started today's match. In the 4th minute, Dragoş Nisporeanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 6th minute Aurel Mendrea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mugur Ghionaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugen Loghin in the 13th minute of play forced Paulestii's goalkeeper Silviu David to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 14 minutes, Dragoş Nisporeanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Frumusei's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dragoş Nisporeanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Basarab Minda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Silviu David made a huge save. Aurel Mendrea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Mugur Ghionaru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Basarab Minda got free with Silviu David in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dragoş Nisporeanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience was convinced that Ovidiu Trif's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mugur Ghionaru was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Balotă in the 29th minute of play forced Paulestii's goalkeeper Silviu David to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aurel Mendrea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mugur Ghionaru having to interfere. Aurel Mendrea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Ovidiu Trif sped through Frumusei's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mugur Ghionaru. Aurel Mendrea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Frumusei players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Paulestii were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gabriel Balotă made a kick off. In the 51st minute Gabriel Balotă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silviu David saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Frumusei booed when Paulestii was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduard Panin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aron Gârdan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Silviu David took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basarab Minda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paulestii's Silviu David played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dragoş Nisporeanu in the 63rd minute of play. Sebastian Alexandroae fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mugur Ghionaru having to interfere. Silviu David came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Frumusei's Eugen Loghin. But to his dismay, Eugen Loghin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Paulestii were awarded a corner in the 74th minute after Frumusei's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Augustin Sinulescu took the corner. In the 76thth minute of the game Ovidiu Trif who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Frumusei's Mugur Ghionaru was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Paulestii booed when Frumusei was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vintilă Murărașu didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ovidiu Trif had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mugur Ghionaru stood somewhat misplaced when Ovidiu Trif came free in front of goal and shot 2-2 to the left of him in the 82 minute. Ovidiu Trif blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mugur Ghionaru having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ovidiu Trif got free with Mugur Ghionaru in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Ovidiu Trif had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frumusei were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
