Gelu Zgârcu charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gelu Zgârcu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 36 played minutes Jiul Petrosani got a freekick which was hit by Gelu Zgârcu. Francisc Uzuneanu kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. DINAMO's Tiberiu Enachescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grzegorz Budzyn in the 46th minute of play. 48 minutes into the match, Grzegorz Budzyn had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tiberiu Enachescu. DINAMO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Grzegorz Budzyn was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. After 56 minutes, Oğuzalp Soyselçuk made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Jiul Petrosani's Toshko Achanov tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. DINAMO may have spent more time on the ball, but Jiul Petrosani were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
