The referee ignored FC Vietnam's protests and gave Victor Tofan a yellow card for diving instead. Cosmin Giugiuc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Irmantas Pranys showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Côme Fuzeau, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Costin Marchidan hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. FC Vietnam's Irmantas Pranys proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save FC Vietnam from getting a goal against them. Côme Fuzeau received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Irmantas Pranys came out and tried to block the shot, but Côme Fuzeau slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 26th minute. In the 28th match minute, F.C. Rapid Bucuresti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiberiu Brădescu to maneuver through the defense. Adam Onea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dinu Oncescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. 39 minutes into the match, FC Vietnam's goalkeeper Irmantas Pranys had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Côme Fuzeau. Adam Onea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toni Kroos, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The supporters of FC Vietnam booed when F.C. Rapid Bucuresti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gică Şuplăcan didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 71 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Côme Fuzeau sped through FC Vietnam's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Irmantas Pranys. Irmantas Pranys came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by F.C. Rapid Bucuresti's Côme Fuzeau. But to his dismay, Côme Fuzeau quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Irmantas Pranys made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Côme Fuzeau in the 78th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toni Kroos in the 81st minute of play forced F.C. Rapid Bucuresti's goalkeeper Adam Onea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 87 minutes into the match, FC Vietnam's goal looked a bit too open when Cosmin Giugiuc came free, but Irmantas Pranys reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Costin Marchidan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adam Onea came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Vietnam's Toni Kroos. But to his dismay, Toni Kroos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. FC Vietnam's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because F.C. Rapid Bucuresti had won, even though FC Vietnam had held more of the ball.
