Spectators: 6690 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dan Cârnu started the match with the kick off. In the 6thth minute of the game Dan Cârnu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brodocul FCM's Iurie Milea was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 10th minute, one of Brodocul FCM:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Brodocul FCM. The FC Prahova fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when FC Prahova's Dan Cârnu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Brodocul FCM's Ionel Ursulescu got a free kick in the 21st minute. After having played for 24 minutes, Manuel Gâgea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Prahova's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manuel Gâgea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dan Cârnu in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iurie Milea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 29thth minute of the game Dan Cârnu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brodocul FCM's Iurie Milea was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Iurie Milea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Gâgea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Narcis Butuc kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. If Dan Cârnu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 38 played minutes FC Prahova got a freekick which was hit by Ilie Aurelianu. Eduard Melinescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilie Panaiteanu having to interfere. In the 41st minute Edgar Zbârcea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilie Panaiteanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Manuel Gâgea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iurie Milea was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. 47 minutes into the match, Edgar Zbârcea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ilie Panaiteanu. FC Prahova's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgar Zbârcea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2.

In the 55th minute, FC Prahova's Marcel Grecu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Iurie Milea. Iurie Milea yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Ştefan Zăreanu kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. FC Prahova's Ilie Panaiteanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar Zbârcea in the 64th minute of play. With a little luck, Brodocul FCM's Iurie Milea got control of the ball when Dan Cârnu tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Dan Cârnu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Brodocul FCM's Dorin Bara got a free kick in the 68th minute. Eduard Melinescu's late challenge caught a FC Prahova's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eduard Melinescu helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Brodocul FCM getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Eduard Melinescu hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dan Cârnu in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iurie Milea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dan Cârnu got free with Iurie Milea in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ilie Panaiteanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduard Melinescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Dan Cârnu struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Iurie Milea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Prahova. After a defensive mix-up in Brodocul FCM's zone, Manuel Gâgea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iurie Milea came out of the goal and Manuel Gâgea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dan Cârnu in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iurie Milea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. FC Prahova's Manuel Gâgea got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dan Cârnu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Iurie Milea made a huge save. In the 92nd match minute, Brodocul FCM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduard Melinescu to maneuver through the defense. Iurie Milea stood somewhat misplaced when Dan Cârnu came free in front of goal and shot 1-4 to the left of him in the 94 minute.
