Rareș Cândroveanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Corneliu Chificeac having to interfere. Nicolae Aldulescu's late challenge caught a Copacestii's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicolae Aldulescu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 12th minute, Nicolae Aldulescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Copacestii's Dinu Botescu couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 13th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ciocarlesti. The audience was convinced that Maxim Militaru's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pompiliu Angheluș was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Liviu Pârcălab's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 20thth minute, Corneliu Chificeac skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 21st minute, Eliodor Gherghescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pompiliu Angheluș was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 27th match minute, Copacestii was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dan Muntean to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Ciocarlesti's Petre Cumpanașu got a free kick in the 32nd minute. When Maxim Militaru fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Copacestii's protests and gave Maxim Militaru a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ciocarlesti booed when Copacestii was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maxim Militaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 35 played minutes Copacestii got a freekick which was hit by Liviu Bojin. In the 36th minute, Rareș Cândroveanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Liviu Pârcălab sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rareș Cândroveanu to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rareș Cândroveanu in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Corneliu Chificeac prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Ciocarlesti getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Nicolae Aldulescu hit a great ball. After having played for 69 minutes, Liviu Pârcălab managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ciocarlesti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Liviu Pârcălab was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paul Chițan charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paul Chițan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Copacestii's Paul Chițan got a free kick in the 70th minute. Eliodor Gherghescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Pompiliu Angheluș tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 77 minutes of play, Ciocarlesti's Rareș Cândroveanu made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liviu Pârcălab in the 86th minute of play forced Copacestii's goalkeeper Corneliu Chificeac to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88thth minute of the game Rareș Cândroveanu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Copacestii's Corneliu Chificeac was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Copacestii's zone, Rareș Cândroveanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Corneliu Chificeac came out of the goal and Rareș Cândroveanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rareș Cândroveanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Corneliu Chificeac having to interfere. 96 minutes into the game, Ciocarlesti's Rareș Cândroveanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Corneliu Chificeac made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ciocarlesti fully deserved thier win.
