Codrin Mantu succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 4th playminute. Codrin Mantu might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gigel Culiță. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Codrin Mantu ran back to his position shaking his head. Constantin Romanescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Gigel Culiță tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 19 played minutes Badacin CSS got a freekick which was hit by Martin Iordănescu. The audience thought a goal was coming when Codrin Mantu got free with Gigel Culiță in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 21 minutes into the match, Badacin CSS's goalkeeper Gigel Culiță had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Codrin Mantu. A hard shot 31 in the game by Codrin Mantu from a close distance when the talented Gigel Culiță managed to make a qualified save. Badacin CSS's players were relieved. Gigel Culiță took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Constantin Romanescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Codrin Mantu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gigel Culiță read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Constantin Romanescu in the 42nd minute of play forced Badacin CSS's goalkeeper Gigel Culiță to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Codrin Mantu came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Barbalani CS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Codrin Mantu couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Constantin Romanescu to make the kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Constantin Romanescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Badacin CSS's Gigel Culiță was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 53rd minute, Martin Iordănescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Badacin CSS's Cristinel Chiliman got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 60 minutes into the match, Fabian Ionășescu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Costică Moga, 1-1. When Barbalani CS's Codrin Mantu in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. If Codrin Mantu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Barbalani CS booed when Badacin CSS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Iordănescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Constantin Romanescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Gigel Culiță tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fabian Ionășescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gigel Culiță showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Constantin Romanescu in the 74th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristinel Chiliman got free with Costică Moga in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gigel Culiță made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Constantin Romanescu in the 82nd minute of play. Codrin Mantu struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Gigel Culiță didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barbalani CS. Constantin Romanescu took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gigel Culiță. Gigel Culiță dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Tudor Lupșe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barbalani CS's supporters rose to their feet, but Tudor Lupșe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gigel Culiță breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Barbalani CS booed when Badacin CSS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Iordănescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gigel Culiță showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Codrin Mantu in the 95th minute of the match. Badacin CSS's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
