Constantin Romanescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florin Mangra having to interfere. If Codrin Mantu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Octavian Vlaicu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Florin Mangra having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Codrin Mantu in the 19th minute of play forced Gornenti's goalkeeper Florin Mangra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Constantin Romanescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Codrin Mantu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Florin Mangra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Barbalani CS's Costică Moga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albert Niculiță in the 32nd minute of play. After 37 minutes, Constantin Romanescu made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Gornenti's Florin Mangra tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Costică Moga didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Octav Lupșoiu went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Octav Lupșoiu got free with Costică Moga in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 47th match minute, Barbalani CS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octavian Vlaicu to maneuver through the defense.

The wind increased when Constantin Romanescu made the kick off in the second half. When Codrin Mantu came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Barbalani CS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Codrin Mantu couldn't finish the play. Constantin Romanescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Codrin Mantu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Florin Mangra made a huge save. Constantin Romanescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Florin Mangra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Constantin Romanescu ran back to his position shaking his head. Codrin Mantu scored 1-2 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Florin Mangra, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Barbalani CS's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
