The Similisoara fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aurel Cosor should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Olaf Kojder managed to get in a good position for a shot. A.C. Milan Iasi's supporters rose to their feet, but Olaf Kojder was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aurel Cosor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 20thth minute of the game Fabian Radu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Similisoara's Aurel Cosor was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Radu in the 22nd minute of play forced Similisoara's goalkeeper Aurel Cosor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, A.C. Milan Iasi's Simon Hult sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aurel Cosor narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Olaf Kojder might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aurel Cosor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Olaf Kojder ran back to his position shaking his head. 46 minutes into the game, Fabian Radu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Aurel Cosor was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half A.C. Milan Iasi were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Corneliu Apolzan was the one to do the kick off. When Olaf Kojder came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the A.C. Milan Iasi fans jumped to their feet. Fabian Radu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aurel Cosor having to make a save. Simon Hult's late challenge caught a Similisoara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Simon Hult helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th match minute, A.C. Milan Iasi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simon Hult to maneuver through the defense. Edgar Curuțiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Fabian Radu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aurel Cosor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olaf Kojder, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 92nd play minute Olaf Kojder came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Aurel Cosor. 0-6. 96 minutes into the game, A.C. Milan Iasi's Octavian Hârțan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aurel Cosor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. A.C. Milan Iasi played a much better game than Similisoara and deserved their victory. The Similisoara players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
