In the 18th minute of the match, Manuel Măliță tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Emanuel Zbârnea saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 24 minutes into the match, FC Butan Gaz's goal looked a bit too open when Dan Banciu came free, but Gelu Olariu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 27 minutes into the game, Dumitru Sticlaru was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Butan Gaz's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dagata CSS the free kick. The supporters of Dagata CSS booed when FC Butan Gaz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dumitru Sticlaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gelu Olariu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Banciu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dagata CSS's Emanuel Zbârnea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octav Tăzlăuanu in the 32nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Dan Banciu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dagata CSS's supporters rose to their feet, but Dan Banciu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gelu Olariu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 39th minute, Traian Giugiuc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th minute of the match Calistrat Zdroană shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emanuel Zbârnea showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 48 minutes into the game, Octav Tăzlăuanu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Emanuel Zbârnea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.
