An unexpectedly hard shot by Stelian Seţeanu in the 9th minute of play forced Coleni UFC's goalkeeper Mihail Lăzan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mihail Lăzan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stelian Seţeanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Claudiu Pitiș charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Claudiu Pitiș the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Steaua FCS's Cornel Biriș proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Steaua FCS from getting a goal against them. After having played for 30 minutes, Isac Isărescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coleni UFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isac Isărescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Coleni UFC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Constantin Albu hit a great ball. If Stelian Seţeanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isac Isărescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Cornel Biriș tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Steaua FCS's goalkeeper Cornel Biriș, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Cornel Biriș showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isac Isărescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Teodor Dorlea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihail Lăzan having to interfere. Stelian Seţeanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Mihail Lăzan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Steaua FCS's supporters rose to their feet, but Stelian Seţeanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mihail Lăzan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Isac Isărescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Isac Vătavu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Coleni UFC's Isac Isărescu in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Steaua FCS's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isac Isărescu in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cornel Biriș prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Isac Vătavu came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Coleni UFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isac Vătavu couldn't finish the play. Isac Vătavu struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Cornel Biriș didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coleni UFC. In the 91stth minute of the game Isac Isărescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Steaua FCS's Cornel Biriș was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Isac Vătavu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cornel Biriș. Steaua FCS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Isac Vătavu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0.
