Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 102) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Pavel Chibulcutean started the match with the kick off. After having played for 4 minutes, Gică Ivăncioiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Buriasi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gică Ivăncioiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 6 minutes into the game, Niculae Nanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Techereul's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Buriasi the free kick. Niculae Nanu kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, Techereul's goalkeeper Dacian Datcu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gică Ivăncioiu. Pavel Chibulcutean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Dacian Datcu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leontin Lăzăroiu hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Renaldo Holley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octav Butnaru in the 15th minute of the match. The supporters of Buriasi booed when Techereul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horaţiu Zbârciog didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 21 in the game by Gică Ivăncioiu from a close distance when the talented Dacian Datcu managed to make a qualified save. Techereul's players were relieved. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Octav Butnaru managed to get in a good position for a shot. Techereul's supporters rose to their feet, but Octav Butnaru was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Renaldo Holley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Techereul fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when Techereul's Alexandru Doman looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Petrică Negru's late challenge caught a Techereul's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Petrică Negru helped the player get up and apologised. After 31 played minutes Buriasi got a freekick which was hit by Petrică Negru. 37 minutes into the match, Buriasi's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandru Doman came free, but Renaldo Holley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alexandru Doman in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Renaldo Holley saved Buriasi from getting behind. In the 41st minute, Techereul's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gică Ivăncioiu fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.
The wind increased when Alexandru Doman made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Gică Ivăncioiu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Buriasi's Renaldo Holley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octav Butnaru in the 56th minute of play. The supporters of Buriasi booed when Techereul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Corneliu Brezeanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Pavel Chibulcutean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Renaldo Holley stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexandru Doman's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. A collision led to Techereul getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Marin Lupeanu hit a great ball. Gică Ivăncioiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dacian Datcu having to interfere. After 81 played minutes Buriasi got a freekick which was hit by Teodor Dică. 83 minutes in the game, Alexandru Doman dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After a rather tough play, Techereul's Horaţiu Zbârciog got a free kick in the 84th minute. Gică Ivăncioiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gică Ivăncioiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Dacian Datcu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pavel Chibulcutean recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Techereul players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
