After 7 played minutes Calugareasca CSS got a freekick which was hit by Pavel Martin. Basarab Bârlea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cosmin Fetea having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tudor Pupăzan in the 14th minute of play forced Casinul's goalkeeper Traian Băbescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Traian Băbescu made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Eduard Alexa sent off a good shot on target. Basarab Bârlea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosmin Fetea having to interfere. In the 21st match minute, Calugareasca CSS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilian Purcărete to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basarab Bârlea in the 22nd minute of play forced Calugareasca CSS's goalkeeper Cosmin Fetea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Calugareasca CSS's zone, Basarab Bârlea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cosmin Fetea came out of the goal and Basarab Bârlea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Teodor Stătescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosmin Fetea having to interfere. Basarab Bârlea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pavel Martin hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Cosmin Fetea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basarab Bârlea in the 34th minute of the match. If Teodor Stătescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 40 minutes of play, Casinul's Basarab Bârlea made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cosmin Fetea was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Calugareasca CSS players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Casinul were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Basarab Bârlea made the kick off in the second half. In the 55thth minute of the game Basarab Bârlea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Calugareasca CSS's Cosmin Fetea was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Basarab Bârlea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Cosmin Fetea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Basarab Bârlea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosmin Fetea having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Basarab Bârlea in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cosmin Fetea saved Calugareasca CSS from getting behind. In the 67th minute, Pavel Martin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Basarab Bârlea struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Cosmin Fetea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Casinul. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teodor Stătescu got free with Cosmin Fetea in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 81st minute, Teodor Stătescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emilian Purcărete charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emilian Purcărete the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Emilian Purcărete kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Cosmin Fetea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basarab Bârlea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Teodor Stătescu came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Casinul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teodor Stătescu couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tudor Pupăzan during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 88th match minute, Calugareasca CSS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tudor Pupăzan to maneuver through the defense. When Basarab Bârlea came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Casinul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basarab Bârlea couldn't finish the play. The Calugareasca CSS fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Casinul were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
