After a rather tough play, Piscolt FC's George Hurmuzache got a free kick in the 10th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Piscolt FC's goal looked a bit too open when Florin Toader came free, but Flavius Moțoc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Călin Apostu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Flavius Moțoc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aurelian Păltineanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Piscolt FC's George Hurmuzache got a free kick in the 25th minute. Florin Toader fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavius Moțoc having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Sorin Papadache hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC STEAUA BUCURESTI's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Sorin Papadache 36 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Flavius Moțoc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Călin Apostu, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Piscolt FC's goalkeeper Flavius Moțoc, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Florin Toader received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Flavius Moțoc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Florin Toader to strike the kick off in the second half. Nae Vârnav sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee showed Nichifor Semeghin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A very good chance. Nae Vârnav fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavius Moțoc having to interfere. With a little luck, Piscolt FC's Flavius Moțoc got control of the ball when Nae Vârnav tried to sneak it across the goal line. FC STEAUA BUCURESTI's David Cârnu got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aurelian Păltineanu kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. If Nae Vârnav had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Piscolt FC's Flavius Moțoc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Călin Apostu in the 90th minute of play. Șerban Corbu came free in the 95th minute and tried to tip the ball over Flavius Moțoc, but to the joy of Piscolt FC's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. The Piscolt FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
