After a rather tough play, Strejnicu CSS's Robert Enișteanu got a free kick in the 10th minute. Dumitru Vuia struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Teodor Poalelungi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cosla. Teodor Poalelungi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ionuț Lăcătușu, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Horia Răducu's late challenge caught a Cosla's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The supporters of Strejnicu CSS booed when Cosla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ştefan Păltineanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th match minute, Cosla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrei Hurmuzache to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Cosla getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Ştefan Păltineanu hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ionică Izvoranu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Felix Cioiu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ionică Izvoranu in the 69th minute of play forced Cosla's goalkeeper Felix Cioiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ionică Izvoranu in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Felix Cioiu saved Cosla from getting behind. Cosla's Felix Cioiu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Cosla from getting a goal against them. In the 81st minute, Robert Mumuleanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 83rd minute, Strejnicu CSS's Ionică Izvoranu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Felix Cioiu. Felix Cioiu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. When Robert Mumuleanu came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Strejnicu CSS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robert Mumuleanu couldn't finish the play. Ionică Izvoranu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Cioiu having to interfere. Robert Mumuleanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 100th minute of the match, but Felix Cioiu made a huge save. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
