Spectators: 6720 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edgar Bordeanu started the match with the kick off. 6 minutes into the match, Marcel Schiau had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cazimir Trăiloiu. Raca UFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcel Schiau was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 9th match minute, FC Steaua București was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabian Frățilă to maneuver through the defense. 11 minutes into the game, Edgar Bordeanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Steaua București's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Raca UFC the free kick. After 11 played minutes FC Steaua București got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Bordeanu. Fabian Frățilă hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Adolfo Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Adolfo Nogueira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Raca UFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Adolfo Nogueira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vali Petrică breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in FC Steaua București's zone, Adolfo Nogueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vali Petrică came out of the goal and Adolfo Nogueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 23 minutes into the match, Raca UFC's Cristian Săliştean sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vali Petrică narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 25th minute Sever Opaina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cazimir Trăiloiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vali Petrică stood somewhat misplaced when Cristian Săliştean came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 27 minute. Cazimir Trăiloiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sever Opaina in the 32nd minute of play. If Adolfo Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cazimir Trăiloiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernest Levința in the 43rd minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adolfo Nogueira to strike the kick off in the second half. Adolfo Nogueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Vali Petrică tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vali Petrică showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doru Conta, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Adolfo Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adolfo Nogueira took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vali Petrică. Vali Petrică dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. FC Steaua București's Vali Petrică played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Nogueira in the 69th minute of play. Cristian Săliştean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sever Opaina during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 76th match minute, FC Steaua București was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sever Opaina to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Raca UFC's Adolfo Nogueira tried to score from far away in the 77th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Raca UFC were furious when Dacian Stoleru was red carded, 82 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. A collision led to Raca UFC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Dacian Stoleru hit a great ball. The supporters of FC Steaua București booed when Raca UFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dumitru Țepeneag didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Doru Conta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in FC Steaua București's zone, Iurie Tăzlăuanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vali Petrică came out of the goal and Iurie Tăzlăuanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adolfo Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vali Petrică having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Raca UFC's Doru Conta got a free kick in the 94th minute. Raca UFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of FC Steaua București for a fine match.
