After a defensive mix-up in Rahova AS's zone, Virgil Dănciulescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Liviu Chiuzbaian came out of the goal and Virgil Dănciulescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Rahova AS defense, Cătălin Colin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Liviu Chiuzbaian. The Rahova AS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Liviu Chiuzbaian should have stopped the shot. Liviu Chiuzbaian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Mârza, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Rahova AS's zone, Gabriel Mârza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Liviu Chiuzbaian came out of the goal and Gabriel Mârza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sabin Grigore to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Gabriel Mârza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Liviu Chiuzbaian was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Gabriel Mârza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Liviu Chiuzbaian having to make a save. If Gabriel Mârza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Liviu Chiuzbaian made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Virgil Dănciulescu sent off a good shot on target. Gabriel Mârza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Liviu Chiuzbaian having to interfere. When Virgil Dănciulescu came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Homocea fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Virgil Dănciulescu couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Rahova AS getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Sabin Grigore hit a great ball. In the 76th minute, Homocea's Gabriel Mârza ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Liviu Chiuzbaian. Liviu Chiuzbaian yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Liviu Chiuzbaian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Mârza, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. When the final whistle sounded Homocea left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Rahova AS.
