But to his dismay, Gabriel Tăzlăuanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 15 minutes into the match, Ghermani AS's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Bülent Özinan came free, but Francisc Madgearu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santos Onofre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute, Luiz Fabiano Marquez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Francisc Madgearu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jiang Fan Nan made a kick off. Dacian Zgabei recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jiang Fan Nan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Francisc Madgearu having to make a save. 56 minutes into the match, Ghermani AS's goalkeeper Francisc Madgearu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Peng Yao Cheng. 57 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Metalu Reșița's Jiang Fan Nan fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high.
