After a defensive mix-up in Ghindaresti's zone, Iosif Hurgoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 19 minutes into the match, Ghindaresti's goalkeeper Basarab Apetroaiei had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Florin Lupșoiu. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Ghindaresti were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
