Spectators: 7354 (Terracing: 5516, Seating: 1691, VIP seats: 147) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sergiu Terzian took the kick off in the first half of the match. The supporters of Csu Craiova booed when Scarlatesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mădălin Oprișor didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 4th minute of the match Tiberiu Cubleșan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nicu Condrea showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After having played for 5 minutes, Sergiu Terzian managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Csu Craiova's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sergiu Terzian was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cornel Bosioc could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Cristian Ivașcu made a huge save. Nicu Condrea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denis Ignătescu in the 12th minute of the match. Cornel Bosioc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Ivașcu having to interfere. Denis Ignătescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nicu Condrea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Denis Ignătescu ran back to his position shaking his head. When Csu Craiova's Denis Ignătescu in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Scarlatesti's goalie prevented a goal. Scarlatesti's Nicu Condrea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergiu Terzian in the 26th minute of play. Denis Ignătescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the match, Scarlatesti's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Ignătescu came free, but Nicu Condrea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Scarlatesti's Francisc Floroiu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cristian Ivașcu. Cristian Ivașcu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. When Cornel Roşculeţ fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Csu Craiova's protests and gave Cornel Roşculeţ a yellow card for diving instead. Cornel Bosioc scored 2-0 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cristian Ivașcu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Toader Miclauș kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Francisc Floroiu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Denis Ignătescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Csu Craiova's supporters crossed their fingers, but Denis Ignătescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Csu Craiova's Cristian Ivașcu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisc Floroiu in the 54th minute of play. Cornel Bosioc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Ivașcu having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Cornel Bosioc ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristian Ivașcu was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. 70 minutes into the game, Scarlatesti's Francisc Floroiu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristian Ivașcu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Nicu Condrea came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Csu Craiova's Denis Ignătescu. But to his dismay, Denis Ignătescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Denis Ignătescu got free with Nicu Condrea in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sergiu Terzian blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nicu Condrea having to make a save. Nicu Condrea made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Denis Ignătescu sent off a good shot on target. Silviu Botea hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match.
