Spectators: 7378 (Terracing: 5535, Seating: 1696, VIP seats: 147) Iordache Juverdeanu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 5 played minutes Argasalesti CS got a freekick which was hit by Ilie Burtea. Sabin Gherghe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iustin Chitoran having to interfere. With a little luck, Argasalesti CS's Iustin Chitoran got control of the ball when George Nițu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The nice shot from George Nițu in the 16thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Iustin Chitoran had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Ilie Burtea hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Argasalesti CS's Iustin Chitoran proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Argasalesti CS from getting a goal against them. Iustin Chitoran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valer Jucu in the 26th minute of the match. Valer Jucu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Iustin Chitoran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Argasalesti CS's zone, George Nițu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iustin Chitoran came out of the goal and George Nițu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 36 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ghidut CSS! The referee gave Argasalesti CS a penalty, 38 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Iurie Atodiresei, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ghidut CSS's Nicu Dănciulescu. 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valer Jucu to make the kick off. When Albert Bognar came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Ghidut CSS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albert Bognar couldn't finish the play. Lucrețiu Ivan struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Nicu Dănciulescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Argasalesti CS. Lucrețiu Ivan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Nicu Dănciulescu made a huge save. 64 minutes into the match, Valer Jucu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iustin Chitoran. Argasalesti CS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valer Jucu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 67 minutes into the match, Argasalesti CS's goal looked a bit too open when Valer Jucu came free, but Iustin Chitoran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iordache Juverdeanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Nicu Dănciulescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucrețiu Ivan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nicu Dănciulescu having to make a save. Eusebiu Sima kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Ghidut CSS's Valer Jucu got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Valer Jucu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucrețiu Ivan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valer Jucu in the 87th minute of play forced Argasalesti CS's goalkeeper Iustin Chitoran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Ghidut CSS's goal looked a bit too open when Iordache Juverdeanu came free, but Nicu Dănciulescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sabin Gherghe kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Iordache Juverdeanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
