All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Denis Iancu hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Bucharest Academy's Codruț Beca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ariando Alacuart in the 55th minute of play. Codruț Beca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gică Cobzeanu in the 66th minute of play. Valentin Domuță sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 70thth minute of the game Ariando Alacuart who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bucharest Academy's Codruț Beca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Ariando Alacuart's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Codruț Beca was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Marin Cârlan's late challenge caught a Bucharest Academy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marin Cârlan helped the player get up and apologised.
