When Marian Patrichi fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CS UZU's protests and gave Marian Patrichi a yellow card for diving instead. Marian Patrichi hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Liviu Panțâru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natalio Blai in the 9th minute of play. In the 15th match minute, Ruben FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vlad Hrean to maneuver through the defense. Șerban Patriciu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacobo Cresconio's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, Liviu Panțâru skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 24th minute, Isac Cantemir reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Liviu Panțâru. The goal made the score 1-0. Natalio Blai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vlad Hrean got free with Liviu Panțâru in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Ruben FC booed when CS UZU was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Șerban Patriciu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 32 minutes into the match, CS UZU's goalkeeper Liviu Panțâru had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vlad Hrean. In the 34th minute, Isac Cantemir made a precise shot to the right of Liviu Panțâru. CS UZU's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Ruben FC's Vlad Hrean got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vlad Hrean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Liviu Panțâru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Vlad Hrean managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ruben FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vlad Hrean was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Liviu Panțâru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vlad Hrean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Liviu Panțâru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ruben FC booed when CS UZU was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugen Zberea didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Nicodim Geoană struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Liviu Panțâru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ruben FC. In the 52nd minute Natalio Blai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Liviu Panțâru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 59 minutes of play, Ruben FC's Jacobo Cresconio made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Liviu Panțâru was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 63rd minute, Natalio Blai ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Liviu Panțâru was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. In the 66th minute Natalio Blai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Liviu Panțâru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Liviu Panțâru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Natalio Blai, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 70 minutes into the match, CS UZU's goal looked a bit too open when Natalio Blai came free, but Liviu Panțâru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Liviu Panțâru was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Ruben FC's zone, Șerban Patriciu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vasile Bistreanu came out of the goal and Șerban Patriciu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vlad Hrean in the 85th minute of play forced CS UZU's goalkeeper Liviu Panțâru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Natalio Blai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Liviu Panțâru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Natalio Blai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Natalio Blai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that Ruben FC were the better team. Ruben FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
