With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgar Roman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. chievosibiu's Edgar Roman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Codruț Martin in the 34th minute of play. When Jiul Petrosani's Adam Turak in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A collision led to chievosibiu getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Augustin Bârsescu hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Codruț Martin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edgar Roman was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. 47 minutes into the match, chievosibiu's goal looked a bit too open when Codruț Martin came free, but Edgar Roman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Adam Turak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jiul Petrosani's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
