Mugurel Duldurescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ioan Mincă, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 6th minute of the match, Eugen Ceaușu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mugurel Duldurescu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Petre Hreapcă kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Burzonesti's Iacob Bara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alin Cristoiu in the 11th minute of play. Gavril Macavei hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Iacob Bara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Codruț Feroiu in the 23rd minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Burzonesti's goal looked a bit too open when Petre Hreapcă came free, but Iacob Bara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute Codruț Feroiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iacob Bara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Burzonesti's goal looked a bit too open when Petre Hreapcă came free, but Iacob Bara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 40 played minutes Burzonesti got a freekick which was hit by Ioan Mincă. Burzonesti's Iacob Bara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Codruț Feroiu in the 42nd minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Gropile CSM's goalkeeper Mugurel Duldurescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Costică Mititelu. In the 45th minute Codruț Feroiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iacob Bara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Gropile CSM booed when Burzonesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ioan Mincă didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alin Cristoiu made a kick off. Emanuel Eremia kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Eugen Ceaușu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Codruț Feroiu got free with Iacob Bara in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Burzonesti's Iacob Bara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alin Cristoiu in the 60th minute of play. In the 66th minute, Codruț Feroiu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iacob Bara was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 69 minutes into the match, Costică Mititelu notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Gropile CSM's Mugurel Duldurescu. Mugurel Duldurescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alin Cristoiu in the 79th minute of play forced Burzonesti's goalkeeper Iacob Bara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Codruț Feroiu got free with Iacob Bara in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eugen Ceaușu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute, Eugen Feraru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
