With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bogdan Hârtopanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lucian Orghidan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Iordache Hăulică tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Caramurat CS's zone, Lucian Orghidan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iordache Hăulică came out of the goal and Lucian Orghidan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lucian Orghidan's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Iordache Hăulică firmly grabbed it by the left post.
