Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Petru Tilea started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Petruț Patriciu scored 1-0 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Octavian Golumbean, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With 7 minutes on the clock, Dragoş Andrieșanu commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 6 minutes into the game, one of Suligata CSS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Marcel Durbacă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Petru Tilea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aurel Ghiciușca having to make a save. Aurel Ghiciușca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcel Durbacă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the game, Petruț Patriciu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Suligata CSS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galeteanu the free kick. Aurel Ghiciușca came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Galeteanu's Petru Tilea. But to his dismay, Petru Tilea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After having played for 32 minutes, Petru Tilea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galeteanu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Petru Tilea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With his leg Octavian Golumbean managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when Suligata CSS's Bogdan Coroian fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 36th minute, Niculae Macrea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aurel Ghiciușca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcel Durbacă in the 42nd minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bogdan Coroian stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Suligata CSS were awarded a corner. Dumitru Dorian went to the cornerflag to take it. Marcel Durbacă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Aurel Ghiciușca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th match minute, Suligata CSS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petruț Patriciu to maneuver through the defense. Eusebiu Cozma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 73 minutes, Victor Cangeopol mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Galeteanu and the Suligata CSS players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 73rd minute, Victor Cangeopol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 88 minutes into the match, Niculae Macrea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Octavian Golumbean. Galeteanu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Niculae Macrea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. The audience was convinced that Petru Tilea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aurel Ghiciușca was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Octavian Golumbean made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bogdan Coroian in the 93rd minute of play. The supporters of Suligata CSS booed when Galeteanu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Cangeopol didn't get a good kick on the ball.
