Spectators: 6691 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1691, VIP seats: 0) Florin Ţugui started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Alex Goanță made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denis Stănoiu in the 3rd minute of play. Alex Goanță came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Grojdibodu AS's Sergiu Buculeasa. But to his dismay, Sergiu Buculeasa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 12 minutes, Paul Ponta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Raca and the Grojdibodu AS players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpected shot in the 18th minute by Horea Răducan got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 22 minutes into the match, Grojdibodu AS's goal looked a bit too open when Florin Ţugui came free, but Aristide Staicu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29thth minute of the game Sergiu Elefteriu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Raca's Alex Goanță was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vintilă Halipa's late challenge caught a Grojdibodu AS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vintilă Halipa helped the player get up and apologised. When Grojdibodu AS's Sergiu Elefteriu in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Raca's goalie prevented a goal. When Sergiu Buculeasa came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Grojdibodu AS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sergiu Buculeasa couldn't finish the play. In the 37th match minute, Raca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vintilă Halipa to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sergiu Buculeasa made a kick off. Aristide Staicu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florin Ţugui, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Sergiu Elefteriu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Goanță having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Sergiu Buculeasa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alex Goanță was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Aristide Staicu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florin Ţugui in the 61st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Grojdibodu AS's Alexandru Sandu got a free kick in the 61st minute. Horea Răducan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aristide Staicu having to interfere. Florin Ţugui recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Grojdibodu AS's Sergiu Elefteriu got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aristide Staicu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florin Ţugui in the 72nd minute of play. Sergiu Elefteriu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sergiu Elefteriu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alex Goanță having to make a save. When Grojdibodu AS's Sergiu Buculeasa in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Raca's goalie prevented a goal. Sergiu Buculeasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alex Goanță read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. In the 84th minute of the match Teodor Vulturar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aristide Staicu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 85th minute Sergiu Buculeasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Goanță saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gică Boc hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. The supporters of Grojdibodu AS booed when Raca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Călin Ignat didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albert Aliuta was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 94th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Alex Goanță made a fantastic save in the 100th minute, when Sergiu Elefteriu sent off a good shot on target.
