Ciprian Maniu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mugur Trifănucă went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 71 minutes into the game, Mugur Trifănucă cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Ciprian Maniu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A sloppy throw-in by Petruț Tătaru in the 75th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC STEAUA BAIA MARE's Tudor Gurzău.
