Mihail Marioteanu was a little too slow when Horaţiu Bala got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 1-0. Emil Țâpu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Berceanu in the 22nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Horaţiu Bala managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rajletul CSS's supporters rose to their feet, but Horaţiu Bala was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mihail Marioteanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emil Țâpu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorel Iftimescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Horaţiu Bala took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mihail Marioteanu. Mihail Marioteanu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. An unexpected shot in the 41st minute by Horaţiu Bala got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Horaţiu Bala sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Balesti's Alex Berceanu got a free kick in the 48th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Basarab Andrieșanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Balesti's Dorel Iftimescu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emil Țâpu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Rajletul CSS's Emil Țâpu got control of the ball when Isac Enceanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 73rd minute Isac Enceanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Țâpu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the game, Horaţiu Bala cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Mihail Marioteanu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 80th minute, Balesti's Dorel Iftimescu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. 84 minutes into the match, Balesti's goal looked a bit too open when Eliodor Moldoveanu came free, but Mihail Marioteanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Horaţiu Bala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eliodor Moldoveanu was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 88 minutes into the match. Eliodor Moldoveanu kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anton Contra got free with Emil Țâpu in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Emil Țâpu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pompiliu Bitang went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. After 94 played minutes Balesti got a freekick which was hit by Jens-Åke Löfgren. If Sever Opincaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rajletul CSS's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
