A collision led to FC U.m.B.r.o getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Constantin Stana hit a great ball. Iordache Negruț struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Valentin Traianescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Star Bucharest. John Rambo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Cornel Chiuzbaian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Bert Achterberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cornel Chiuzbaian was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Avram Sandu hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Teodor Nițoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cornel Chiuzbaian made an important save on a dangerous shot by John Rambo in the 92nd minute. The FC Star Bucharest fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC U.m.B.r.o were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
