The audience thought a goal was coming when Ionel Lăzărescu got free with Natalio Etxeberri in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Natalio Etxeberri didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sergiu Fetanu went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 23 minutes into the match, Adam Horea dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Natalio Etxeberri, 3-0. Natalio Etxeberri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stelian Daraban, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Natalio Etxeberri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Horea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Natalio Etxeberri was out of position in the 30 minute of play, and Sergiu Fetanu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sergiu Fetanu really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. Natalio Etxeberri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Fânaru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the match, Phoenix MMXVI Sibiu's goalkeeper Natalio Etxeberri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ionel Lăzărescu. Natalio Etxeberri made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Sergiu Fetanu sent off a good shot on target. Natalio Etxeberri made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sergiu Fetanu in the 38th minute. Phoenix MMXVI Sibiu's Horia Musceleanu got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 45th minute Adam Horea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natalio Etxeberri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stelian Daraban made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Phoenix MMXVI Sibiu's zone, Stelian Daraban stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Natalio Etxeberri came out of the goal and Stelian Daraban tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adrian Argăseală hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Phoenix MMXVI Sibiu's zone, Stelian Daraban stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Natalio Etxeberri came out of the goal and Stelian Daraban tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 69 minutes into the game, Mestera CSS's Stelian Daraban nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Natalio Etxeberri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. In the 73rd minute, Filip Drăgoescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stelian Daraban in the 76th minute of play forced Phoenix MMXVI Sibiu's goalkeeper Natalio Etxeberri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stelian Daraban recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Natalio Etxeberri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Horea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ionel Lăzărescu in the 84th minute of play forced Phoenix MMXVI Sibiu's goalkeeper Natalio Etxeberri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Radu Bălașa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horia Musceleanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 90th match minute, Phoenix MMXVI Sibiu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stelian Carp to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Mestera CSS's Adam Horea tried to score from far away in the 91st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Adrian Argăseală hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mestera CSS! Stelian Carp shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Radu Bălașa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Argăseală in the 100th minute of play. There was no doubt that Mestera CSS were the better team. Mestera CSS's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
