In the 11th minute, Budele FCM's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Iulian Covaliu fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Silviu Achim charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silviu Achim the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Budele FCM getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Silviu Achim hit a great ball. Dinu Topală fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sever Arapașu having to interfere. If Martin Marinică had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of JIUL&CO booed when Budele FCM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduard Breazu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Budele FCM were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Martin Marinică stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Robert Manta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dinu Topală scored 2-2 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sever Arapașu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Eduard Breazu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Budele FCM's supporters rose to their feet, but Eduard Breazu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Selçuk Veli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
