Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Gherghita's Augustin Cojocaru started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Gigel Mărăscu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gherghita's supporters rose to their feet, but Gigel Mărăscu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sever Ciungu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Augustin Cojocaru came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Gherghita fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augustin Cojocaru couldn't finish the play. If Isac Stroie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Gherghita getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Augustin Cojocaru hit a great ball. Augustin Cojocaru struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Sever Ciungu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gherghita. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gigel Mărăscu got free with Sever Ciungu in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Gherghita's zone, Isac Stroie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcu Gheorghiță came out of the goal and Isac Stroie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nae Ghizdeanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcu Gheorghiță having to interfere. The supporters of Vilcindorf CF booed when Gherghita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valer Spelbu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Armanca's late challenge caught a Vilcindorf CF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daniel Armanca helped the player get up and apologised. Daniel Armanca kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Gigel Mărăscu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sever Ciungu having to interfere. Sever Ciungu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 74 minutes into the match, Gherghita's goalkeeper Marcu Gheorghiță had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isac Stroie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augustin Cojocaru in the 77th minute of play forced Vilcindorf CF's goalkeeper Sever Ciungu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gigel Mărăscu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Sever Ciungu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Augustin Cojocaru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Augustin Cojocaru blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sever Ciungu having to make a save. Sever Ciungu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augustin Cojocaru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gigel Mărăscu in the 90th minute of play forced Vilcindorf CF's goalkeeper Sever Ciungu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gigel Mărăscu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sever Ciungu having to interfere. Gigel Mărăscu might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sever Ciungu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gigel Mărăscu ran back to his position shaking his head. There was no doubt that Gherghita were the better team. Gherghita's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
