Iurie Blaj made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manole Gherghescu in the 4th minute. 8 minutes into the game, Manole Gherghescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Iurie Blaj was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lucian Sbârcea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mihai Tomulescu in the 11th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Palos's zone, Manole Gherghescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iurie Blaj came out of the goal and Manole Gherghescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in F.C.BUCURESTI fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 18th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Palos a penalty, 20 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Marin Crainic, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of F.C.BUCURESTI's Lucian Sbârcea. 2-1. F.C.BUCURESTI's Lucian Sbârcea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eric Mustață in the 33rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manole Gherghescu got free with Iurie Blaj in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. F.C.BUCURESTI's Lucian Sbârcea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Corneliu Geambașu in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Manole Gherghescu made a kick off. Marin Crainic's late challenge caught a F.C.BUCURESTI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marin Crainic helped the player get up and apologised. Marin Crainic hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. F.C.BUCURESTI's Lucian Sbârcea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save F.C.BUCURESTI from getting a goal against them. Iurie Blaj made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manole Gherghescu in the 64th minute of play. After a rather tough play, F.C.BUCURESTI's Pavel Gabor got a free kick in the 67th minute. Eric Mustață who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Lucian Sbârcea when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 71st minute, Eric Mustață ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lucian Sbârcea was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. 80 minutes into the match, F.C.BUCURESTI's goal looked a bit too open when Corneliu Geambașu came free, but Lucian Sbârcea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Palos's Eric Mustață slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lucian Sbârcea. That made the score 2-3 after 81 minutes of play. The supporters of F.C.BUCURESTI booed when Palos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marin Crainic didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iurie Blaj showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manole Gherghescu in the 89th minute of the match. 93 minutes into the game, Palos's Eric Mustață nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lucian Sbârcea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. The F.C.BUCURESTI supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Palos's performance. The match ended with a win for Palos.
