In the 45th match minute, Steaua Bucuresti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcu Răduț to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Steaua Bucuresti were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vali Burdea to make the kick off. Sabin Andronache took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vali Burdea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 64 played minutes Pipera FCM got a freekick which was hit by Corneliu Homeag. In the 69th minute, Horea Gafița reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nicu Ispirescu. The goal made the score 0-3. Marcu Răduț sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
