The supporters of Campulung FC booed when Bojenesti CSS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leontin Crașovan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Campulung FC's David Timaru sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Manuel Preda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Costel Enășoiu kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the last second Gabriel Mineață throw himself and got hold of the ball when Stelian Baba in the 17thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 21 minutes into the match, Campulung FC's goalkeeper Gabriel Mineață had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Irinel Cândea. Bojenesti CSS's Manuel Preda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Trifănucă in the 25th minute of play. If Stelian Baba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Basarab Florean got free with Gabriel Mineață in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stelian Baba in the 34th minute of play forced Campulung FC's goalkeeper Gabriel Mineață to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stelian Baba's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gabriel Mineață read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Campulung FC's Gabriel Mineață proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Campulung FC from getting a goal against them. Eusebiu Nestor charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eusebiu Nestor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th minute, Eusebiu Nestor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Bojenesti CSS's Irinel Cândea, in the 46th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Bojenesti CSS.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and David Timaru made a kick off. When Victor Trifănucă came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Campulung FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victor Trifănucă couldn't finish the play. After having played for 55 minutes, Irinel Cândea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bojenesti CSS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Irinel Cândea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Irinel Cândea struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Gabriel Mineață didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bojenesti CSS. 60 minutes into the match, Campulung FC's goal looked a bit too open when Stelian Baba came free, but Gabriel Mineață reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Victor Trifănucă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Manuel Preda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Victor Trifănucă could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Manuel Preda made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stelian Baba in the 68th minute of play forced Campulung FC's goalkeeper Gabriel Mineață to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute, Stelian Baba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 75th minute, Bojenesti CSS's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after David Timaru fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Stelian Baba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
