The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pompiliu Răducan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorel Achifoaiei having to interfere. A collision led to Vintulesti getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Gică Rădescu hit a great ball. In the 12th minute Rareș Nicorici shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dorel Achifoaiei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leo F.C.'s Dorel Achifoaiei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rareș Nicorici in the 13th minute of play. 17 minutes in the game, Edgar Bunoaică fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Aurel Hănescu having to interfere. Dorel Achifoaiei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rareș Nicorici, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 23rd minute, Edgar Bunoaică ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aurel Hănescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Aurel Hănescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Avram Isăcescu in the 30th minute. In the 31stth minute of the game Rareș Nicorici who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Leo F.C.'s Dorel Achifoaiei was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Vintulesti's goalkeeper Aurel Hănescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Avram Isăcescu. The supporters of Leo F.C. booed when Vintulesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gică Rădescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gică Rădescu during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Vintulesti getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Gică Rădescu hit a great ball. Fabian Enache kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Rareș Nicorici made the kick off in the second half. Aurel Hănescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vasile Chiriac, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Leo F.C.'s Dorel Achifoaiei proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Leo F.C. from getting a goal against them. 61 minutes into the match, Leo F.C.'s goalkeeper Dorel Achifoaiei had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristi Firu. Aurel Hănescu came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Leo F.C.'s Vasile Chiriac. But to his dismay, Vasile Chiriac quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Aurel Hănescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Avram Isăcescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edgar Bunoaică blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aurel Hănescu having to make a save. When Edgar Bunoaică came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Leo F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgar Bunoaică couldn't finish the play. Cristi Firu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Dorel Achifoaiei made a huge save. After some careless play in the Leo F.C. defense, Cristi Firu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dorel Achifoaiei. The Leo F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dorel Achifoaiei should have stopped the shot. Eugen Gaciu kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Aurel Hănescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Avram Isăcescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Leo F.C. had played much better football throughout.
