After a defensive mix-up in YASINGTON's zone, Mircea Murărașu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Florin Costeiantu came out of the goal and Mircea Murărașu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 11th minute, Ion Dobrica made a precise shot to the right of Florin Costeiantu. YASINGTON's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Florin Costeiantu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ion Dobrica in the 20th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mircea Murărașu in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Florin Costeiantu saved YASINGTON from getting behind. Ion Dobrica fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florin Costeiantu having to interfere. Florin Costeiantu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mircea Murărașu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mircea Murărașu took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Florin Costeiantu. Florin Costeiantu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Florin Costeiantu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ion Dobrica in the 44th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adam Mumuleanu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Florin Costeiantu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mircea Murărașu in the 57th minute of the match. Mircea Murărașu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florin Costeiantu having to interfere. Florin Costeiantu went to the wrong direction when Aurelian Cristoloveanu was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Ion Dobrica who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Florin Costeiantu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Cristian Corbu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mădălin Buzescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Fc★Throwback United defense, Mădălin Buzescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristian Corbu. The Fc★Throwback United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristian Corbu should have stopped the shot. Mădălin Buzescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Cristian Corbu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emanuel Roșeanu hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Mădălin Buzescu struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Cristian Corbu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for YASINGTON. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manole Mircescu during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Mădălin Buzescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. YASINGTON's supporters rose to their feet, but Mădălin Buzescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristian Corbu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 91 minutes, Adam Mumuleanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. YASINGTON's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adam Mumuleanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Fc★Throwback United's Petruț Pușcariu got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Mădălin Buzescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Corbu having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Fc★Throwback United eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
