After 64 played minutes, Kornitel AFC's Claudiu Lunca shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Manuel Sfârlea came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kornitel AFC reached it. In the 68th minute, Dragoş Piţurcă fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Aluísio Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Kornitel AFC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Claudiu Lunca hit a great ball. The FC Ciupa supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Ciupa would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
