In the 3rd minute, Nicolae Lăcătuș got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Ibrianu getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Irinel Drăgan hit a great ball. After 8 played minutes Chetani AC got a freekick which was hit by Corneliu Hortopan. Nicolae Lăcătuș recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marian Ivănescu hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Corneliu Hortopan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Valentin Lipoveanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th match minute, Ibrianu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marian Ivănescu to maneuver through the defense. Eugen Tecău who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Valentin Lipoveanu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Irinel Drăgan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emilian Nicoliță was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. If Irinel Drăgan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 33 played minutes Chetani AC got a freekick which was hit by Viorel Ciorănescu. Nicolae Lăcătuș blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emilian Nicoliță having to make a save. 40 minutes into the match, Nicolae Lăcătuș notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Chetani AC's Emilian Nicoliță. Emilian Nicoliță was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Irinel Drăgan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Valentin Lipoveanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Corneliu Hortopan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emilian Nicoliță stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Irinel Drăgan's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Tudor Cristian charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tudor Cristian the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Emilian Nicoliță took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Irinel Drăgan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Irinel Drăgan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. David Mîțu kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the match, Chetani AC's goal looked a bit too open when Irinel Drăgan came free, but Emilian Nicoliță reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Chetani AC defense, Irinel Drăgan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emilian Nicoliță. The Chetani AC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emilian Nicoliță should have stopped the shot. Emilian Nicoliță was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Irinel Drăgan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 73 minute of play. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chetani AC's goalkeeper Emilian Nicoliță, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Irinel Drăgan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilian Nicoliță having to interfere. After 79 played minutes Chetani AC got a freekick which was hit by Tudor Cristian. A collision led to Ibrianu getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Nicolae Lăcătuș hit a great ball. Nicolae Lăcătuș might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emilian Nicoliță. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nicolae Lăcătuș ran back to his position shaking his head. Nicolae Lăcătuș fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilian Nicoliță having to interfere. Ibrianu's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
