Spectators: 7327 (Terracing: 5497, Seating: 1685, VIP seats: 145) Sarighial AFC's Dorel Pască started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Edgar Dragu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucrețiu Zbereanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Caita FC's Sorin Măndica got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Nicu Duldurescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Caita FC's goalkeeper Edgar Dragu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucrețiu Zbereanu in the 16th minute of play forced Caita FC's goalkeeper Edgar Dragu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Nicu Duldurescu came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Caita FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicu Duldurescu couldn't finish the play. Sorin Măndica received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Alin Nicolae tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dorel Pască struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Edgar Dragu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sarighial AFC. In the 32nd minute, Dorel Pască got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 34 minutes into the match, Sarighial AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Nicu Duldurescu came free, but Alin Nicolae reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgar Dragu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucrețiu Zbereanu in the 37th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Sarighial AFC's Denis Ghizdeanu got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nicu Duldurescu to strike the kick off in the second half. Edgar Dragu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dorel Pască in the 54th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Sorin Măndica managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caita FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sorin Măndica was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alin Nicolae breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lucrețiu Zbereanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dorel Pască in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgar Dragu saved Caita FC from getting behind. Alin Nicolae took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicu Duldurescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 78 minutes into the game, Sarighial AFC's Lucrețiu Zbereanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edgar Dragu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Edgar Dragu was a little too slow when Dorel Pască got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 84th minute. The score was now 1-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Liviu Babeș during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Sarighial AFC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Liviu Babeș hit a great ball. During the 96th minute of the match Liviu Babeș completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Liviu Babeș a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 97th minute, Liviu Babeș hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Sarighial AFC's zone, Nicu Duldurescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alin Nicolae came out of the goal and Nicu Duldurescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sarighial AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
