Roxi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aronesti the free kick. The supporters of Aronesti booed when Roxi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Moldovan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dacian Ferenț sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Roxi's Gabriel Agârbiceanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Roxi from getting a goal against them. In the 85th minute, Aronesti's Dacian Ferenț dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. With an all-out effort, Aronesti's Gabriel Agârbiceanu threw himself towards the right post 92 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ionică Rădescu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Aronesti's Mugurel Amandiței got a free kick in the 92nd minute. In the 94th minute, Petre Pască ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emanuel Baran was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Aronesti were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Roxi to leave the ground with a draw.
